it's simple
He just didn't want to
if he wanted to record those songs he would have.
Poor mans gold and Good, bad but beautiful aren't good songs anyway so it's no loss
Poor Manīs Gold,The Wonders You Peform and other unfinished songs at later recording sessions that he for some reason didnīt lay down his vocals too before![]()

Ok thank you for your reply.
Thats a good question, I can only guess that he really did not care for them.
Work in Progress!
There's a Fire Down Below is one Iwished he had put a vocal to.
I really wish that Elvis had put vocals to The Wonders you Peform and Poor Manīs Gold.
Maybe he did and never been found
Those songs suck.
That's why.
Getlo - cute'n'cuddly
Those songs might have had a passing interest for Elvis...that is to say that he might have been interested in them at one point, but then lost interest. Such as in the case of COUNTRY BUMPKIN when he was in the studio recording the TODAY album. He was really interested in recording the song, then lost interest before anything was recorded. However, in the case of songs like THE WONDERS YOU PERFORM, POOR MANS GOLD, etc. they actually got as far as having the backing track recorded before he lost interest.
One song I wish he would have revisited, or at least finished, was IT'S DIFF'RENT NOW. That is such a beautiful song...what little there is of it anyway...and I would love to hear how the song would have sounded if he had completed it.
TCB!
