Lamar Fike's Memphis Mafia jacket...

If you are after a piece of the Memphis Mafia, then you should get on over to ebay for your chance to own Lamar Fikes Mafia jacket. Back in '97, five of the original Memphis Mafia, Billy Smith, Red and Sonny West, Marty Lacker and Lamar Fike embarked on a project of the highly acclaimed video production, "All The King's Men".
In conjunction with the videos, special clothing was custom made which included golf style shirts with the Memphis Mafia logo and a very special team jacket that had the big Memphis Mafia logo on the back, in the Mafia colours of Red and White on the black background of the jackets colour. The sleeves were made with black leather and a smaller Mafia logo was on one front side of the jacket with Lamar's name on the other.
Lamar hates to part with it but as many of you know he has been battling Cancer and the treatments are very expensive. So much so that it greatly depleted all of his vast savings which he had accumulated after a very successful career in the Nashville Music Industry. So Lamar is now offering his jacket to the highest bidder to some very lucky Elvis fan.

I'm extremely sorry to hear about Lamar's cancer, and frankly, whoever eventually parts with $1650 for his jacket will have to be largely motivated by his healthcare fund, since the garment wasn't even manufactured until 20 years after Elvis's death, and the sale surely depends upon finding a buyer who loves Lamar even more than they love Elvis!

If I had the money,I would buy it. I'm sorry to hear that he has cancer. I bet his original TCB necklace(if he still owns it) would fetch alot of money. But then again, if I had one of the original TCB's I dont know if I would part with it either.

I can assure you that is the only MM jacket like that Lamar owns. Each of the five guys got one and that's was it.

And for whoever wrote that if someone buys it they love Lamar more than Elvis, that is totally ridiculous. I can also assure you that in no way does Lamar think he's the star, he knows very well, just as the other 5 do, that Elvis was and is the only star.

I have known Lamar for a long time and i was really saddened to learn a few years ago that he contracted Cancer and I was equally saddened that the treatments he had to go through and still does four times a year, devastated his vast savings of the money he earned by his successful music career in Nashville Music publishing and management.

This jacket is a nice piece of Elvis connected memorabilia even though it was made years after Elvis passed away and I'm sure some fan will enjoy having it.
