Personally I don't know the precise year...
I've seen two different documentaries about Elvis, that reported the story of the cleaning lady and the piece of paper written by Elvis and found in the room with those sad sentences.. so I think it's true but they didn't tell the year...just the fact it happened in Las Vegas.
I'd be curious to know more informations too.
I don't think it's false since I heard about it twice but I've just finished to read the biography "Careless Love" and the book doesn't tell anything about it.
