agree, he had the upbringing of respecting one's elders.............which he carried to the extreme.

Plus, he didn't really like confrontations

Plus he trusted Parker in the 50s into the 60s-felt like the Col knew all, controlled all and was correct in all his decisions.
In the mid 70s Elvis began IMO to doubt the decisions the Col made but he was unable , because IMO of self doubt and insecurity to make a stand and look for someone new to manage him.
