On the 19th December 1962 an anxious Cilla was collected from Idlewild airport in New York by Vernon and Dee, who would then expedite her to Memphis and her first Christmas in Graceland.
The airline ticket was reserved under 'Priscilla Fisher', since her photograph had already appeared in many international publications, and it was decided that her identity should be concealed in order to avoid her being kidnapped for being so ridiculously attractive.

Unfortunately, Elvis's desire to provide little Cilla with an authentic Graceland experience resulted in him excitedly overmedicating her, and she was rendered comatose for the first 2 days of her keenly anticipated visit.

Her Christmas gift to Elvis that year was a wooden cigar box which she believed to play his 1961 hit 'Surrender'.
However, the melody of 'Surrender' is lifted wholesale from a 1902 ballad called Torna a Surriento, so the manufacturer of the gift may have been unaware that they were creating an Elvis-related novelty item.

I despise that woman not out of "jealousy" but bc she is fake..... fans were PEEVED after the book was published.....E wrote her out of the will years before for a reason he wanted her to have NOTHING....She bailed on him when he needed her the most..She got a kick out of E going crazy jealous over Mike Stone!..I'm not saying E was an angel but she saw him slide and slide and then hit rock bottom and what does she do she like most sat idly by and said nothing...Now it's not her fault that he did what he did but she pushed E buttons which only put him in his grave sooner she never tried to help and it showed.!!!
