Good to see one of the Johnson City shows from March 76 get a release, but hate it that it's not a complete show

The thing about this tour (unlike most of the others in 76) is how fresh the band sounds with Larry Londin on the drums. Nothing against Ronnie (he's #1 in my book), but Larry seams to ad a different flavor to the band sound, and Elvis himself sounds like he's interested and enjoying himself

I know the version of 'Hurt" from this show in Johnson City has been available for a while, and the sound quality is EXCELLENT!

Ought to make for a nice release indeed

This is a good release, indeed. The booklet is written well and the pictures are nicely choosen. But the most important thing is the content. The sound of the mixing desk recordings is very good and the shows themselves are also above average. Elvis is in good voice and delivers some fine renditions of UNTIL IT'S TIME FOR YOU TO GO, TRYING TO GET TO YOU, STEAMROLLER BLUES, LET ME BE THERE, FAIRYTALE, HOW GREAT THOU ART, HURT and many more. The 1977 recordings are a nice addition, too.

    Re: Springtime Tours '76-'77

I received this release, and overall I like it

The version of My Way from Abiline TX on March 27, 1977 is pretty interesting, because he speaks the verses ... reminds me of how he sang You Gave Me A Mountain during the closing night show in Sept 74 (Desert Storm cd).

I'm not a big fan of the "binaural mix" on the matrial from Charlotte 76 (but that's just me), but the overal sound qa is an improvement (to my ears).

This one is worth seeking out
