oh and don't forget, Priscilla had Elvis put a rider on Graceland for the other part of the divorce settlement, there is no way Venon could pay her so she had to get her due settlement some way.
Vernon and the Estate were still making a few mill. every year. (with the help of the col) and Vernon did sell off planes to keep it afloat. so basically it prob. wasn't needed right then but he foresaw the possible need. eventually there would be a cash flow problem. I think it would be a hard decision though.
but then I always wonder what a cash flow problem means? it can mean one thing one person and another thing to someone else. all depends on how much money is needed and how much is wanted. obviously Priscilla was not going to allow herself and her daughter live on the paltry amount Elvis didn't mind doing at times.

Hadn't Elvis already re-mortgaged Graceland before that?

i'm sure glad we get to see it and its open [good decision] this was his only private sanctuary left , but bills need to be paid at one point the city was going to take over[that would have bin a disaster]. still think cilla could have taken a cut and called it a day and stop the excuse that lisa wants nothing to do with it if thats the case then sell it off to others since she has no respect for her dads legacy.
but if cilla had 'taken a cut and called it a day', where would all her money come from ?![]()
the dress shop??
Who cares where her money would come from? She wouldn't need any where she was headed.
The only thing that really matters is that she would be living in my basement and receiving the only sustenance she really needs ... affection.
