Of course we already know that we'll be getting Volume II of the Jailhouse Rock soundtrack, and as Rene mentioned Promised Land should be on the release schedule for 2010 (it better be!).

As much as I enjoy the live concerts, I do hope they scale back releasing as many in 2010, especially the soundboard recordings. Now if they happen to release something say from Lake Tahoe 71 or his final show ever from Indianapolis 77, then I'd certainly go for that

Remember there's still some movie soundtracks yet to be addressed by FTD (King Creole, GI Blues, Live A Little, Love A Little, Change of Habit, and Roustabout) if they have uncovered for outtakes from these sessions?

I'm actually surprised that soundtracks like G.I. BLUES and KING CREOLE haven't been re-released yet by FTD. I know there are a TON of outtakes for G.I. BLUES that have been released by the various import labels over the years, although I am not so sure how many outtakes are available for KING CREOLE. But I would certainly think that those soundtracks would take precedence over already released FTD soundtracks like EASY COME, EASY GO and TICKLE ME...

I do believe I read somewhere in an interview with Ernst that the outtakes for CHANGE OF HABIT are missing, although they did release the alternate of LET US PRAY on the TODAY, TOMORROW & FOREVER box set so maybe there is hope on that one...

Both MSG shows, (plus complete interview and radio adds) on the classic series, those are powerful shows never released with proper sound.

Same thing with the Aloha from Hawaii shows, all mixes suck.

Haven't got anything from the Houston '70 shows, so although Im not a fan of audience recordings at all, I'll make of that an exception and buy it. Same with any new complete concert from the 50's, the sound will suck, but it is worth for historical reasons.

On the soundtracks, Roustabout, Kissin' Cousins, Speedway, and Change of Habit, are ones we haven't got much on alternate takes, neither in terms of sound improvement, so any good bulk of alternates, plus better sounding masters will be most welcome, yet, it is most likely the session tapes on those are forever lost.

While they're at it, FTD should do an Aloha double-disc.

Again, both shows unedited. The rehearsal show released back in the 80s was one of the worst mixes ever. Just awful.
I definitley agree, a 2 disc set of Aloha would be magnificent !
