Thread: Presley-related Christmas Party.

    Presley-related Christmas Party.

If you were able to invite a small number of characters from Presley lore to a festive gathering at your home this year, who would you choose and why?

You would be limited to the ones who are still alive, of course.

For example, I could invite Jerry Sch*lling and C*rrie Gr*nt to mine.
As soon as their coats were off and they were ensconced in the living room sipping mulled wine, I would lock all the doors and detonate the previously secreted explosives from a safe distance. I will have placed a bogus detonator in the pocket of C*rrie's jacket in the hall, thereby framing my nefarious guest, and the subsequent insurance money would more than cover my yuletide journey to Priscilla's side.

Imagine what you could achieve at your own fantasy Presley Christmas ...

Carol singing with the Jordanaires, for instance?
    Quaffing aperitifs with Lamar Fike?
Challenging Ginger Alden to a Twister tournament, with George Klein as umpire?
A flatulence competition with Joe Esposito?

    The sky's the limit!

Oh Teddy, Methinks you are the wicked one! lol

Well, some friends would have been extremely good company, and fun to be around.

I'd go for the fun ones, and have a good laugh.

I'd also love to meet some of the musicians, to enjoy some music, too

"A quaffing competition with Lamar"? lol

George would have to make up some wonderful stories, about the Twister game, lol

Well, I would like to be in Larry's company, as I like him a lot. I also would like to meet Jerry and Joe. Sandi Miller without a doubt is so much fun, a lot of laughing could easily be had. Patti Parry - absolutely, she is so down to earth, I would love to be in her company.

I'd also like Lisa to be there, as I think she has a great sense of humour, and nothing like a good laugh.

Looking forward to the replies - well done, Teddy,

Larry is definitely the best raconteur and ideal for such a gathering!

    Re: Presley-related Christmas Party.

This would take some serious thinking about.
However, off the top of my heady)

As I like Joe, I would make sure he has a nice comfy armchair by the fire, and a plate of hot lasagne (cooked!! – those who have read Priscilla’s book will understand!!)

I would invite Lisa (to be armed with some kind of torture device!) and put her in a room with Albert Goldman (is he alive?, actually he isn’t is he?), Lamar, Sonny, Dave Heblar and Marty.

I would want Patsy and Jerry there, just to see if they are as genuine as they come across on documentaries.

I would like to have a chat with Anita Wood Brewer, ply her with cocktails, to find out what Elvis was REALLY like back in the fifties. Oh and Billy Smith. He could have a few glasses of champagne (I am rich in this pretend party!!) and get the goss from him too.

I would then set up one of those games where you pass a balloon (or something difficult) along the line without using your hands. Not sure about who’s in what team. Will have to think about that!!

At the end of it all when everyone is tired, get Larry to do a bit of meditating to calm us all down ready for a good nights sleep!

I think I would probably secretly ‘bug’ everyone as they arrive so that when I wasn’t talking to people, I would have a tape of what they were saying – and what I was missing out on, and I could listen to the following day.

I would also invite a few TCB World members (to be decided). But Teddy as you started this (good thread), I would invite you and sit you next to Jerry!!!!!! Just for fun!!!

Someone here was so blinded by jealously that forgot to invite Priscilla to his party but don't worry, she will be invited to my Christmas party

    This is brilliant, May, lol.

    Ahhhhhhhhhhhh "crunchy, my favourite" lol

Perhaps Lisa could have one of those shock things? Everytime Goldman came out with something, she could buzz him? rofl Oh heck, I'd fight her for it! lol (Please supply two, on second thoughts, lol).

How do you pass the balloon?

I would challenge the cad to a duel in your back garden!
After I'd finished playing that balloon-passing game you mentioned, of course. I like the idea of that. Ideally sandwiched between Lisa and Riley for the duration.

It would have to be those two. Priscilla isn't invited to my "select gathering"
