OK, I bow to your knowledge Mike............
Will the set by Ernst be superior though?

An EXCELLENT point pal....definitely a much easier way for fans to pick up a nice set like this and be able to spread out the payments a little bit instead of having to plunk down the $1,000 all at once for Ernst's set!!
I would STRONGLY suspect that when all is said and done, the FM set will probably outsell the Ernst set mostly for that fact alone!!!

Okay, I have confirmed this, officially with Sony.
This set is a new product specific for Franklin Mint.
The Sony complete set will follow in 2010. And it will be a total restoration of every Elvis master with new digital technology.

Been waiting on this, but didn't realize the price would be quite that high. It wouldn't be if not through FM, IMO. May have to bite the bullet and get it anyway

...you're moving on the back roads, by the rivers of my memory and for hours you're just gentle on my mind.
They should have been released in chronological order in my opinion. I will bet that Ernst does it that way.

I noticed one other thing. There is not a disc for "Elvis In Concert" listed in the set. How can they say it's complete?

The afternoon show at MSG wasn't released during Elvis; life time.
And neither was Elvis In concert Released: October 3, 1977.
The set only includes the songs that were released during Elvis' lifetime...not after.

That is a good point but I still think that "Elvis In Concert" should be included simply because it's not really a compilation album but a soundtrack to a TV Special that WOULD HAVE come out whether he passed away or not I believe. That makes that album different than the others after it.

I'm still waiting on this s.o.b. anyonyone got it yet if so and you want to sell yours just pm me.
I need to know if Vic Anesini remastered the Franklin Mint set. If so, I may get it. If not, there's no way. I wish that "Elvis In Concert" was remixed. That album does not sound good compared to others and there are so many great performances. Maybe that will be a FTD release.
