Some of you all never been down South too much...
I'm gonna tell you a little story, so you'll understand where I'm talking about
My wife is out shopping with her mother...they can have that.
We hadn't planned to do this in advance but on Wednesday, the first day that she and the kids were off work and school, we went to see A Christmas Carol in 3D, which was just an amazing production. And it really got us in the Christmas spirit -- a day before Thanksgiving -- so we went home and spent the rest of the day decorating. Though most are of the smaller tabletop variety, we have seven trees up in the house.

That's fabulous! For the first time in my entire grown-up life, I'm done with my Christmas shopping. I'll be picking up Gift Cards for oddfellows that will come and go - boy/girlfriends of my kids! I hopeto get the tree up this weekend and it'll stay up until Epiphany when we have another Exchange party. Years ago I held a "white Elephant"party so that I could have help taking down the Christmas decorations & it became a tradition.
Just pretend, I'm holding you, and whispering things soft and low.
And think of me, how it's gonna be and just pretend I didn't go

Bought 'some' prezzies
Normally put a tree up, not going to bother this year............as it would be coming down on the 2nd.......before I leave for Memphis.......Yipeeeeeeeee

LOL, Joe, what a lovely thread
The Christmas tree is happening today (depending on time) or definitely tomorrow
I have bought all this fine blue tinsel, to go on individually, rofl, and artistically. Not how my son liked to put the old ones on last time, take three steps back and throw it! rofl.
When I was little, I made do with my decorations, and used to tear up cotton into little balls, then roll it, to look like snow, individually placing them, hehe - not like DC's (hilarious) decorating! rofl
I have decorations that belonged to my grandmother, that mean the world to me; my Angel has been out for a few weeks,She will be the finale, lol, rofl!
We were looking at new Christmas trees last week (we have plastic ones here) I'm considering buying a new fluffy one, but I'll have to check out the "old one", lol. Things don't last well at all, these days
Christmas cake ingredients are out, ready to be assembled, fruit for the cake, is already in the fridge, having soaked for a week in brandy, lol.
Rumballs were made but someone ate them, rofl!
I've noticed a lot of people buying Christmas trees earlier than usual this year. We normally get ours in the first week of December and a lot of previous years have trouble finding a tree - as most of them get into garden centres around 10th.
They are everywhere this year!!!!!!
I got ours on the 1st December last year but it was looking quite pitiful by Christmas Day and bald by New Years
I've resolved to be more patient this year and water it more![]()
'Taking Care of Beaulieu'.
I (well, we) have both trees up!!! F.C. is on his way!!! EEeeeeee..... (as it were) !!
I went Christmas shopping a little bit so far. Working in retail this time of year doesn't give you that much time. Plus people are so cranky! Hopefully I'll have some time off to get some shopping in.
We're putting up the tree pretty soon.. It's a 7 foot fiber optic tree. It just two parts so it isn't such a task to put it up. I like decorating it!
