    This day in elvis history

    On December 3rd 1968(41 years ago) the NBC special aired this was the best christmas special ever made and it is still a great special to watch!

    I can tell you I still recall the excitement of that Tuesday evening...the anticipation leading up to it.......and it was all I had hoped as a boy of 14.
    The next day at school I was surprised that it was a topic of conversation among many kids who seemed to truely enjoy it.
    It was a great time to be an Elvis fan-to finally see him getting some respect which had been lacking in the mid 60s.
