how do you rate my version of Bach's piano piece, ladish 'n genniemen?

Hey everybody! Now I have made another recording I feel like sharing it with you - let's hope it's worth a d@mn. I'm not the most developed piano player in the world, having started taking lessons in 2008.. so here's what you get if you try hard - use both hands and not only the white keys!

Bach's music is complex any clown could tell..

It was recorded at school using a real bloody piano.. so!

    It's not bad at all!

All I can do is that Dutch thing: Father Jacob hahaha!

Did you try some boogiewoogie or uptempo stuff as well?

    Keep it up friend!

Thank you, your feedback is certainly appreciated!

You'd be amazed how universal the tune Father Jacob is..

I reckoned this piece to be pretty uptempo, but.. I have confronted my teacher with Jerry Lee Lewis. It's not her specialism, but she might know someone to work on such material as well..

..some rock 'n roll would be cool - perhaps some southern gospel as well.

I'd love to, the basic chordal structure wouldn't be more complex than this. I'd demand alternative lyrics though.. just like I have changed make the world go away to a gospel tune, so it doesn't sound cheesy!

Nothing sounds cheesy when your heart is into it.

The secular make the world go away was good for Elvis.. but it wouldn't fit me - you're right about the heart thing though!

Thank you all for the international response!

There's work to be done in order to improve my technique, but it's okay for someone having started in 2008.

I just gave the thread a "ladish 'n genniemen" title 'cuz that's what I adored about Elvis around 1976. It was hard for him to talk at times, but it made him loveable in a way.

Am liking this Fa, I've always wanted to learn to play, but these days, my hands don't always want to do what I tell them to do!

Just pretend, I'm holding you, and whispering things soft and low.
And think of me, how it's gonna be and just pretend I didn't go

The classic's are hard to play, those men were genius's I must say.
All I can play is "Beautiful Dreamer" LOL
This is very nice my friend, for only one year of training I'd say you have a talent for music.
We already know there isn't a piece that you don't know who sang it and probably when. I think you told me "A human juke box" Too cute!

Thank you three! Love the avatar, Lonnie!

In the mean time I got meaner and technique has improved.. another idea is to learn how to play and sing more complex songs!

Well I don't know every song.. it's a matter of specialism.
