Thread: Elvis' relatives

    Elvis' relatives

There seems to be a lot of Elvis "cousins" out there - like Jerry Presely who claims to be a second cousin (but is actually a fifth cousin), Donna Early, Greenwood and many others

Are you at all interested in them?

especially if they also sing, like Jerry? (I've never heard of him but on another Elvis forum, there's a hardcore fan group who won't hear a word against him - they calim he's a second cousin, but when you look at the family tree - he's 5th - and too young to have played any part in Elvis' life)

Or so these more distant cousins seem too scam artisty because they are largely not mentioned in the good Elvis books, or their ages don't really suggest they had much contact with Elvis

or they connect themselves with people like Dr Hinton (Jerry) or have cheated fans in selling fake Elvis items (Donna) or written tell all books that don't paint Elvis kindly or in a family way (Greenwood) while their assocaition with Elvis seems rather distant.....

I mean, at least Harold Lloyd, who Elvis hired as a gate guard, in his book either was very honest or not smart enough to not appear as a sponge who took Elvis' money and provided very little in return. But at least his book didn't claim any close relationship with Elvis other than in childhood - indeed, in his book, his adult Elvis encounters were basically getting a loan he never paid back and a job at the gate - where he tended to only see Elvis coming and going.

A lot of them are/were spongers...........like other people around him, who blew their relationship with him out of all proportion.

I am interested in what Donna (am assuming you mean Donna Presley?) sold that was fake?

Maybe someone else can tell you more about what Donny Presley and her husband did. The rumor I heard was that they sold fake items supposedly belonging to Elvis and didn't send them to the buyers when they were paid for....can't remember how it all went down. Somebody help please?

    Re: Elvis' relatives

Jerry Presley and Earl Greenwood aren't related to Elvis.
    they are just scam artists.

Donna Presley was the daughter of one of Vernon's sisters her name was never Presley. she claims that to scam fans out of money.
She was never close to Elvis like she claims.

I believe she tried to sell toilet paper to fans that Elvis supposedly used at one time.
That's just one of the things Donna has claimed.

Does anyone know if there's any truth in the rumors about Vester exploiting his position by engaging in intimate relations with young fans in the little gatehouse?

She is not a Presley but at least she is really Elvis' cousin. I'll never undertand how people in some countries change their name easily.

I said she was the daughter of one of Vernon's sisters.
She didn't change her name legally she just goes by it and claims that's her real name.
Her real legal last name is still Early or Pritchett
People do that in the U.S. all the time.

You can't just take any last name here in the US. You can't use it on your driver's license, credit cards etc.......that's falsifying and it's illegal.

Some might think because I knew Elvis that I would know if i am related to him. Lots of things to talk about then, (long long time ago) then as to if Morning Star and WhiteCloud had anything common in their Cherokee bloodlines.
But, it was a great time in my life, and I don't need to be related to Elvis to LOVE him and remember how he enjoyed NOT hurting people's feelings. As I note some people above, know nothing about.
So, I'm with you! We are all related! LOL

    No, it isn't.

Her legal name is Early but she uses Presley as a professional name

it's like when an actor uses a stage name but on legal documents they still use their actual name.

On her drivers license, credits cards etc. it has her real name Early but she goes around lying to Elvis fans telling them her name is Presley.

    That's not illegal

    Hadn't heard that one

but in Harold Lloyd's book - he halfway admits that he did

I was surprised how much he revealed about himself - letting people on the grounds, almost no contact with Elvis at all

I wonder if he realized what kind of a mooch he came across in his own book.
