The movie is better than the book, I thought, and the book was quite good. The movie's producer/director appears to be a big Elvis fan himself as he wanted to make Elvis look really good - healthy, slim and sexy as ever, in fact the young woman who plays the Tabloid Editor jokes that she's never seen what Robert Patrick looks like - only him in make-up.
Elvis faked his death and has been living life quietly, when he feels someone gets close, he simply slides away, now a record producer has found him and wants to reintroduce him with some new hits, but things get out of hand and he hires a private eye - Bubba Mabry to help him out, & things get worse before they get better. There are three really good songs - one I wish Elvis had sung! A bonus for me - there are no jumpsuits.

And think of me, how it's gonna be and just pretend I didn't go

Yw Diane....I hope to watch it some day, but it hasn`t been released in Denmark

I really think it looks good and funny....love the song "When the rebel comes home"....cool video....really had to laugh when "HE" takes the lady in his arms and she says "Oh jesus"...And he reply, "no, I`m not Jesus, but I appriciate the comparison............he,he...much like Elvis` kind of humour

Thanks Lisa and Camilla. I think I would enjoy this movie too. The actor taking the part of Elvis looks clean and handsome...not a parody of him.

Would Elvis have EVER let his hair get white?? Wouldn't you think he'd dye it?

    Re: Mr.Aaron a.k.a. Elvis Presley

i think he has white hair as it makes the actor look older, otherwise he would just look like 70's elvis

I watched it with my sons again on Sunday, they loved it! I don't think they really were thinking about the Elvis connection, they just thought it was funny.
