Elvis Featured in Monty Python Documentary on IFC: Elvis Presley’s love of the Monty Python comedy films is highlighted in a new documentary titled "Monty Python: Almost the Truth" which airs October 18-23 on IFC. Elvis’ best friend Jerry Schilling sat down with filmmakers to tell stories of Elvis buying out an entire movie theatre to watch a new Monty Python film to his reciting of quotes from the popular British comedy films.

Elvis had a very off kilter sense of humor IMO so did Monty Python its no wonder he liked them.

Considering how into Monty Python he was and how much he loved to goof around and speak in silly voices, it is perhaps surprising that we don't hear him break into a Monty Python character, or recite a particular scene, in some of the tapes we have which include some very informal studio banter.

My boys love the Holy Grail, at camp they imitated the pony/rock scene - skipping to the mess hall everyday at lunch time! They had all the boys doing it by the end of the week.
