    Tender Feeling

Does anybody know where I can download/buy a crystal clear version of Tender Feeling?

    Re: Tender Feeling

Great song right? way underrated, should have been released as the single instead of Kissin' Cousins.

This is not my favorite movie at all, neither the soundtrack, but Tender Feeling is one hidden jewel that deserves much more attention, Catchin' on Fast is also acceptable enough to me, apart from that, I can easily skip the rest of the L.P.

Anyhow, guess I know what you are talking about, for some reason seems that the released mixes for these sessions are plagued by tons of hiss. Unknown to me the reason of that, but its quite annoying, unnoticeable maybe for a few but not if you are a fan of playing your stereo loud, and a total drag if you do listen to these songs on your ipod. Anyone (Can Fall In Love With You), you can hear the hiss louder that the actual song.

Can't wait for an FTD release for this one, see if we got finally dry and clean tracks for these soundtrack.

Months ago I got obsessed with Tender Feeling and Catchin' on Fast, but I got even more obsessed with the hiss, so I tried to clean up the sound a bit my self on the lap, I'm familiar doing that cause I often need to clean the sound on some demos or live recordings for some friends, and work regularly with audio edition stuff so, that's how I got a better sounding Tender Feeling, not crystal clear, and guess what, there's still noticeable hiss, but it is at least better than what we got. I do can email a copy of that for you if you want.

    Hi,

I would love your copy, could you please send it to:-

    mattashton@blueyonder.co.uk

I agree there is so much background hiss that it does deserve an FTD remaster to bring it back to life

    Regards,
    Matt

    Re: Tender Feeling

Thank you very much for the email, the version you sent me is much better with the reduced hiss The catchin on fast version is improved too. I like the sound of Elvis' voice in 1963/64. Tender Feeling could easily have been covered by Elvis in the early 70's and it wouldn't have been out of place.

Perhaps a DJ Ethan live version would be good

    Thank you once again.

    Re: Tender Feeling

I'm glad you liked them, hope they'll be useful to you.

Yes, Elvis voice was superb around that time, and the sound could be fantastic when the right material was recorded: What'd I Say, Tender Feeling, he would have been a THE match for any new comer british or american band through the 60's if he hadn't virtually retired from serious recording during that period, certain tracks does prove that.

So, glad to help you, I do often do stuff like that on Elvis or other band's old records with poor sound on their CD release, usually mid to early 90's, so anytime, requests are accepted.

Hope Kissin' Cousins and also Roustabout and Speedway (the lesser sound quality Double Feature releases to me) would appear soon in the FTD classic album series. I'll have fun tweaking them up a bit in the mean time.
