I've had this on pre-order with Amazon for weeks...........don't want to miss this..........LOL
Hi folks. Been talking to author/journalist Alanna Nash recently (i'm a journalist myself actually).
She told me - and i don't know if this has been posted here before - will have her brand new book ""Baby, Let's Play House: Elvis Presley and the Women Who Loved Him" out on January 5 2010. It will be published by HarperCollins.
Alanna Nash is the author of the "Colonel book" and "The Memphis Mafia book". Two must read books for any Elvis fan. Also the author of a book co-written with Alan Fortas. Also a very interesting read.

Nice cover
And she's been able to make his romantic affairs fit in only 656 pages. I'm definitely going to buy this book.

So, most of the women on here thought it was an invasion of Elvis' privacy to discuss who he bedded...........but will buy a book about the same topic
Like I said, I ordered mine weeks ago...............LMAO

I'm sure it will. Nash did the Playboy article with Byron Raphael on Elvis' lovelife.I don't think the book will reveal intimate details....if it does....out in the burn pile it goes!
And Marty Lacker, among others, thought Raphael was a total BSer.
It'll be interesting to see what this book is like.
I tend to think it will get into some intimate details. I don't think they are the focal point of the book but if you have credible people willing to share them, chances are they will be in the book -- hopefully tastefully presented, of course.
Marty Lacker does not think Nash is a BSer though...perhaps a lapse in judgment there for the Byron Raphael thing, who knows. But I like her. She lives in my town.
Just pretend, I'm holding you, and whispering things soft and low.
And think of me, how it's gonna be and just pretend I didn't go
I thought this book was suppose to be about Alanna Nash interviewing Elvis girlfriends????
That's what I heard after she interviewed several people for Ladies Home Journal that she was going to interview a lot of Elvis' girlfriends and simply write down what they have to say in the book.
If Alanna Nash is just writing a book about Elvis' relationships i'll pass.
Alanna Nash does sensationalize things a lot and this book will probably have a lot of bedroom gossip.
I bet it will not be tastefully presented.
The biggest part of Elvis is his heart; it is full of love for everyone
Here's a link to the article, if anyone's interested.

the article seemed honest. I've watched the video of Billy Smith and his wife. they both looked to genuinely love Elvis. words on paper are like posts, sometimes it's hard to get the feeling out of them. but then I think everyone around him loved him, how could they not. even if you don't like everything about them all the time. just like Priscilla, she said things people don't think are nice, but she loved him deeply
Thanks for the link lisa...june was really in love with elvis, even after all those years and been married with children she still loves elvis..awwwww.
