That is a tuff choice. I like Don't Cry Daddy because I think it was special to Elvis. But,
I think In the Ghetto had a message that was broader and was special to larger section
of people; so, I voted for In the Ghetto.
"talk about the good times"
Don't Cry Daddy
Hard to say, those are two very different songs.
In the Ghetto is sung with such feeling and emotion, you can almost see the street chase in the background.
Don't Cry Daddy, is my favorite, and sung by anyone else it would just be one pithy little song, but Elvis has a way of interpreting a song, you understand the plight of a single dad & you want to just hold your arms out and offer comfort!
Don't Cry Daddy, would be my choice!
Just pretend, I'm holding you, and whispering things soft and low.
And think of me, how it's gonna be and just pretend I didn't go
In the Ghetto

Although they are both great songs, I have to say IN THE GHETTO is my pick!!
