    Anyone turn Elvis down?

We all know about the girlfriends of Elvis, and the "acquaintances", but does anyone know of someone who resisted elvis' advances?

    Re: Anyone turn Elvis down?

I believe I have read that Debra Paget turned Elvis down, even though he had a big crush on her.

I'm not sure if Delores Hart and Elvis had a relationship either, or if they were just good friends...

And if I remember correctly, Elvis and Mary Tyler-Moore did not have a relationship either...

Ah yes, I remember about Debra Paget. Wasn't she engaged to someone else in '56?

I always remember thinking that he and Dolores Hart didnt have a relationship. But I thought my thinking was merely based on the fact she later became a nun. So, not actually based on anything really.

I know I should know this, but what films did Elvis do after 1/5/67? Was he known to have any relationships with co-stars after the wedding?

In the last year or so Cher has said she turned down an invitation from Elvis.

He had invited her to Las Vegas but she said she got scared when she thought about spending the night with him.

I don't think Debra Paget was engaged. I think the story goes she was from an extremely religious family and her mother would not let her date.

Elvis and Nancy Sinatra were rumored to be have begun an affair during the 1967 summer filming of Speedway.

What's it Elvis who said he had 'slept with everyone of his co-stars but One'?

And then it was Mary Tyler-Moore who has said she 'didn't want to blow anyone's cover but she knew who the One was!"

I think the stories Mary Tyler Moore tells are B.S. that's just for publicity.

She was married and she wasn't Elvis type.
I wish she would stop telling those stories.

Elvis liked Shelley Fabares but she was engaged to and later married record producer Lou Adler.

    I don't believe Cher.

Elvis and Dolores Hart's relationship was platonic

That leaves only Debra Paget she was dating Howard Hughes at the time
    Elvis was interested in her.

people make stuff up about Elvis all the time

people that are famous that you wouldn't think need to make up stuff about Elvis do make things up about him.

Cher's not a famous a she once was and she said this in an interview promoting her then upcoming Vegas shows.

I remember after she said that about Elvis it was in a few newspapers and it was talked about on some message boards.

    mission accomplished for Cher.

Surely a reason to make it up would be to get extra publicity ? (as in any attention is better than no attention) I mean, I havent seen her in the media spotlight lately .. ??

In the discussion, Cher did not make it more than what it was - an invitation she turned down.

During this she also spoke of her relationship with Tom Cruise.

In fact, they lived together for a period of time.

I don't think Cher has a need to make-up stories for publicity.

    Never has.

    She's Cher.

    I believe her too.

She said this in early 2008

She got some publicity for herself at that time.

I use to visit this board before I was poster and it was talked about on here.
It was also mentioned on some entertainment shows where I live and in newspapers and on other internet news sites.

We are still talking about it.

Elvis is considered one of the most handsome men of all time wouldn't it make Cher look good to say he asked her to go away with him and she turned him down.

I don't believe Cher because immediately after she divorced Sonny Bono she dated and was already married to Greg Allman.
she was also pregant with his child.

    Elvis didn't date married woman.

When was Cher actually single to date Elvis

Also Elvis was dating people like Linda Thompson and Sheila Ryan they were younger than Cher.

Mary Tyler Moore, Michelle Carey, Quentin Dean, Sherrie North and that other lady from The Trouble with Girls.

Elvis didn't mess around with any of them.

Sonny and Cher 'separated' during the third season of The Sonny & Cher Show.

    The show ran from 1971 - 1974.

Sonny and Cher's divorce was finalized on June 27, 1975.

Cher married Greg Allman on June 30, 1975 (or there about.)

Their son, Elijah Blue Allman, was born July 10, 1976.

Elvis didn't date women who were mothers either.

Elvis dated Barbara Leigh and knew she had a child.

Sheila Ryan was 17 yrs. younger than Elvis.
Linda Thompson was 15 yrs. younger than Elvis.
Cher was 11 yrs. younger than Elvis.

Cher is the star of a Las Vegas concert at the Colosseum in Caesar's Palace. She has a $60 million contract for 200 shows over 3 years.
