Friends, when one writes these ludicrous articles all we have to do is laugh.

It simply makes no sense at all, and if they are in their right minds, it also makes no sense to a true Jackson fan. The man was talented, that's for sure.
But comparing the artists in this way, makes no sense whatsoever.
I tried to find a little something about this woman who wrote this article-she has supposedly been an entertainment reporter for 20 years which would put her starting her career around 1989-and of the MJ generation. I think that may skew her thoughts some.

I have been bothered by this whole 'MJ thing' almost from the beginning.

It seems so contrived and slickly promoted by the media and dare I say, IMO, some of the Jacksons.

Clips of MJ's staged 'private' funeral showed his three children placing a CROWN on top of his coffin. Details of the service were freely given and then one of the brothers pens a letter to the media expressing dismay at the invasion of privacy. News articles report Elizabeth Taylor thought it would be a private funeral and had no indication she would be photographed. This morning I read about the tribute concert being planned for Oct. in Vienna - a huge CROWN will be part of the stage display in some way. It also said Michael Jackson 'changed the history of music.' And of course, the 'great humanitarian' angle was also used.

    Elvis is an original.

His popularity and growth occurred organically.

So, I just sit back and watch the MJ circus continue........

Totally agree Junebug..............I couldn't believe it when I heard about the crown on the coffin. Eh?????

    I saw that too!

Michael Jackson took the King of pop moniker too seriously.

naming his kids prince and then his family putting a crown on his coffin.

    It was just a nickname.

Don't worry guys. Elvis died over 30 years ago. Michael Jackson hasn't been dead 30 minutes.

Save this conversation for 2040 and see how big MJ is then compared to Elvis now.
