Forever Best Friends
Well said! Can't beat that response!
I fell in love with Elvis on a date we shared in 66, a movie at the Frels Theater - he was singing to me & showing me around the Dude Ranch - Okay, okay, I was 9 or 10 & really he was on the Big Screen performing in Tickle Me, and there awere about a hundred other people there but it was the Frels Theater & he was singing to ME!
Just pretend, I'm holding you, and whispering things soft and low.
And think of me, how it's gonna be and just pretend I didn't go
One night my family and I were listening to a country music radio show and
we heard a song sung by a new performer. The song was I Forgot To Remember To Forget Her by a guy named Elvis Presley! I remember we all
laughed about this strange-sounding, hillbilly name. We compared it to Ferlin
Husky! I did't hear more of him for a good while. One day my younger brother
brought home a 45 and asked me to play it on my record player for him. I took
the record and noticed that strange, funny name, Elvis Presley. I asked my
brother if that wasn't the name we had laughed about. It was! The song
was All Shook UP. That's how it all began for me. And it just got bigger and
bigger!![]()
"talk about the good times"
When i first heard Heartbreak Hotel on the radio in 1956, love him to this very day.
My grandpa and I were driving down the road in his truck, we were listening to the oldies station on the radio. It was the first time I had heard Elvis and it played Hound Dog and a few minutes later it played Heartbreak Hotel. I was five years old, now at 13 almost every bit of the money I earn goes into buying Elvis items, he's GREAT.
Sincerely,Mr.TCB

I went to Graceland with my parents and I've been hooked ever since.
It was thanx to my aunt Elisabeth that showed and played
the Moody Blue and the Elvis Is Back lps for me.
Everytime i came to my aunts house i asked if i could play those 2 lps.
I remember really liking the songs:
Way Down,She thinks i still care and Dirty Dirty feeling.
I played them over and over again.

Pain doesnīt hurt when itīs all you ever feelt !!!
My aunt took me with her to see "Blue Hawaii" at the drive-in in 1961.
She was an Elvis fan from the start and she bought me my first Elvis 45.
I got it immediately-he was just super cool, great fantastic voice which just got better year after year IMO.
Work in Progress!
I was 10yrs old and been in hospital about 5month and a friend of my mum's would visit me. She kept telling me to get better quick and she would take me to G.I.Blues with Elvis in it. I wasn't inpressed cos I didn't really know who he was !! Anyway true to her word she took me and WOW I had never seen such a drop dead gorgeous looking guy!
She is now 75 and still adores him and I am 50 yrs older and I feel the same.
I was six.
I saw into Elvis' eyes; his smile, then his laugh and personality, and I felt an immediate connection to him. Elvis just brightened my day, with joy. I sensed him.
I was just a little girl. Elvis' incredible music, his beautiful music, his movies, were just the bonus.
This was my first experience of joy, from Elvis:
"Return to Sender" was probably one of the first songs I sang (as I picked up Nana's mail), lol

One day when I was around 5 years old, I was rummaging through my Mom's record collection and came across her copy of the ELVIS - TODAY album. I can remember how cool Elvis looked on the cover, and I immediately took the album up to my room and put it on my little record player, took one listen to T-R-O-U-B-L-E and that was it!!! That was 32 years ago!!!
I don't know as if my Mom ever figured out what happened to all of her Elvis records...![]()
...and to this day, the ELVIS - TODAY album is still my all-time favorite Elvis album!!!
TCB!
