I think her popularity will fade once she gets out of her teenage years.
A lot of her fans right now will probably outgrow her and some won't even admit to liking her as they get older.

A lot of her fanbase is the pre-teen audience.

I gotta hand it to her though she's had a longer career than her one hit wonder father Billy Ray Cyrus.
Well, Billy Ray Cyrus also had that family show Doc that ran successfully on t.v. for a few years.

Janis Joplin is one of the most overrated singers of all time imo.

Great range, great fire and grit in her voice-could sing ballads, blues, rock even country and was an electrifing stage performer.
Monterey Pop 67 she was not well known as most-but mesmorized the hip, celebrity laden crowd who saw her talent.
I have actually thought of her as "underrated"

Don't forget she records as Hannah Montana and as Miley Cyrus. My daughter liked Hannah a couple of years back, now she is 12 she likes the Miley material better, she says it is less babyish. If she moves away from the Montana Image in a controlled way, who knows where she could be in 5 years time, don't forget that Britney Spears started off with Disney as did Justin Timberlake! Miley has just as much talent as those two

That's true, JJ..... hope her journey's a lot gentler on her private life than Brits though!!!......Justin kept it together alright..family makes the difference I think..
