Elvis' Birthday - HELP!

I know its a month & a half away but...
As ya'll know, January 8th is Mr. Rock N Roll's birthday! I live in New York and even though id like to, I can't be in Memphis at that time. I was thinking about sending flowers to Graceland, but then a second thought came into play saying "what if they don't make it to Graceland...they'd have all my money!"
Does anyone have any suggestions cause I really don't wanna let him down on his birthday...

Hi Yiddle Yisa,
The best idea (I know having done this) is to call a florist shop in Memphis. You can pay with a credit card over the phone and they will deliver them for you to Graceland. Some will even take a picture of the display if you ask them too!
I have used Sandy's I think they were on Union Ave. They did a real nice job.
Just give them a call and tell them what you would like...They should take good care of you!

Sounds like a good idea! I just get a little worried over the fact that im willing to pay a fortune for lots of flowers...out of my state.

Hi Yisa,
I have dealt with Sandy's before and they are the fairest price around(I'm not on commission..lol) but I did order from Massachusettes and when I got to Memphis the flowers were done and delivered and great looking. You can mail them a photo if you want and they will add it to the display!
I can see why you would be doubtful of spending money out of state. but they really did Me and E proud! you're welcome for the help! No probs.. I would advise ordering or at least calling them a couple of weeks in advance , as they do get a lot of orders. Also a lot of people order the silk flowers instead of real ones because they die quick in January, so if you want them to last for more than a day it's a good idea...

I think i've decided to do it!

I have to say that you made a good point with the real flowers dying. That's obviously not a very good sign to post on my back! I think i'll take the silk for an ongoing love, forever...........and ever!! I probably wont be re-visiting Memphis till Febuary 2005 when I have off from school or maybe even as streched out as the summer in August 2005. I do know that they change the flower display every week, is it? If I send something extremely big and wont dye, do you think they'll remove it after a week?

They should leave it up for the whole Jan event. they even leave some up for longer if they like them. I have had someone tell me that they even keep parts of displays in the archives at Graceland if they are unique enough..
