Goodbye My Best Friend (Utmom / Rosanne)

In the morning at 10 am central time the family is having a private burial service for my Rosanne. I know she listened to the radio station at Graceland everyday. I dont know how to do this and we certainly wont know if it is done, but if someone could request the playing of How Great Thou Art by Elvis at that time it would be very special to us. We are having a Memorial Celebration at 2 pm and that recording will be played in the church. Again, thank you so much for everything. Gail just left the house to go and get some rest. It was such a relief to have her and her family here with me.

She was kind to me, when I was moodey and not so open. She sent a private message and then we laughed and all was ok...she understood I was worried about my son in Iraq, then the other one went. I was loosing my little world and everyone in it. She gave of herself, a beautiful kindness that someone else might have just told me to tale a flying leap! It was then I was ashamed for being sassy, and haughty, and now I must live with that. Her grace was dominant, she joked, but she understood...everthing. Thank you Roseanne for takin sadness from my shoulders and telling me "It will be ok"

I never really posted here, but I always read the posts. She was so beautiful in her picture that it made me stop and read her funny and insightful thoughts.
I know in my heart that she is smiling down on us with her loved ones and Elvis by her side.

I wanted to share something with you all and I hope it will give you a bit of a lift today.

As I've already mentioned Rosanne was all fired up about going to see Adam Lambert in Dallas. Now and again Adam wears his hair in what his fans call his Elvis look.....he doesnt do it on purpose it's just something he does now and again. I couldn't post this yesterday as everytime I looked at it I got a little choked up.....this is what Rosanne would have seen. How appropriate that it was on the day Rosanne would have been there.

He's only wore his hair twice so far on the tour once at the beginning and I couldn't quite believe it when I saw the pics from Dallas -- yep -- he'd done it again but not only that he had a little Elvis snarl too.

I've been a member here for quite sometime, but never posted before till now. It took me a while to post this, because for one, I don't take a sudden death all that well , regardless of if I knew the person or not.... As my father died suddenly some years ago.... but from all that i've seen Rosanne was a special and wonderful human being, who left us all to soon and to quickly! I heard this song this morning and it made me think of this situation and my own.....
