This coach said he was great in 73' and '74 but when he saw him in '77, he said kept forgetting the words of his songs and he kept calling Milwaukee Chicago.
I always run into people who have seen Elvis in person. This one lady told me she saw him in Florida in 1975 or 76, and she said she wasn't impressed by his show and he was overweight. I asked her, what kind of music did she like? she answered, I only like church songs and baseball. She said she got free tickets and wanted to see him to say that she did, cause he was already a legend.
If any of you ever saw Elvis in person, what's your honest opinion about him?

thanks, that's interesting. I've heard that a lot of musicians do that when they're touring but not over and over. I think Elvis needed a year or two off.
Just to relax, get in shape and enjoy Lisa Marie and hire some awesome song writers to write some current hits for him.
thanks for sharing
My Mom and Grandmother got to see him in Atlanta Georgia In ..I believe '76. My Mom told me about it. She said that they were in the very back in the nosebleed sections, and the concert was good and then Elvis kept turning the other way to face the crowd and this guy stood up and yelled " ELVIS, TURN AROUND"!!!! and he made a little response and kept on with the show hahaMy family Is from Rome GA and I lived there for part of my childhood. So thats how they went to see the Atlanta show. I actually found the bootleg recording from that same exact show!!

If your an elvis fan, no excuse is needed... If your not an elvis fan, no excuse is possible...

HI, I WAS LUCKY TO SEE ELVIS ABOUT 50 TIMES, STARTING WITH 4 SHOWS IN MADISON SQUARE GARDEN IN 72, AND THE LAST TIME ALL THE SHOWS IN VEGAS DECEMBER 76. OFF COURSE HE WAS IN BETTER SHAPE IN MSG, BUT HE ALWAYS GIVE HIS BEST FOR THE FANS. I WAS LUCKY TO MEET HIM A COUPLE OF TIMES, THE LAST TIME IN VEGAS EASTER 75. HE WAS SO KIND AND STILL SO GOOD LOOKING. MEMORIES FOREVER.
ERIK FROM NORWAY
Erik - Stein Erik Skar, is that actually you? I love your books!
Me thinks that lady doth protest too much! I saw Elvis live in concert in
1971. He was lean and gorgeous. He did a fantastic show. Tired me out, just
watching it! I didn't see him in concert again until l976. I saw three concerts
that year. The first in March; he was heavier' but, the show was still
fantastic! A whole arena full of people seemed to be in agreement with that!
I saw him in concert again in July of l976. He was thinner than in March. He
looked wonderful and the show was again fantastic! Then I saw his concert
in Dayton OH in October of 1976. If this lady had seen him then, she could
not make either of the claims that she made. He was about the weight that
he was in the Aloha special. He had the energy of "Superman". I fully
expected him to leap tall buildings during that show. He was having a
good time and so were the audience! He stayed on stage longer for this
show than any other that I saw. Just one of the hi-lights for me was his
doing "Blue Christmas". Of all the live concerts I saw, I would pick this one
as the one I'd most like to see again; but, I would dearly love to see any
live concert again. The last concert I saw him in was in June, 1977. It was
the next to last show that he did. I will admit that the show was not as
fast paced as the one in October and Elvis' weight was up again. But, I
felt no disappointment about his performance. And the younger girls who
went with me to see him for their first time were so enthused with the
show that they left the arena asking me to contact them when he was
coming back to our area. I can truthfully say that I, personally, feel that
on Elvis' worst day, he put on a captivating show and his was the best show
for your money!![]()
