What Would have Elvis Thought....?

Yesterday I had finally gotten the Elvis tattoo that I've been wanting for years. Sadly I've gotten it in my hometown instead of in Memphis like I had wanted. On the bright side the tattoo artist was really awesome and we bonded so well with her. We found out that we were connected through a late friend of ours. She'd even had a Elvis picture hanging on her mirror in her tattoo room. She did a really awesome job on it. It looks just like him!

Anyway, this is my second Elvis tat (the first was the TCB Logo) and I was wondering what Elvis would have thought about us, his fans, getting tattoos of him, or things related to him? Just a thought for a friendly discussion.

I don't know if Elvis would have liked it, although he was into motor cycles almost to the point of a biker. I think he was brought up thinking tattoos where only for ex-cons and motor cycle gangs. But Elvis no matter how old he was in a lot of ways he adapted to new styles. I believe tattoos became popular by the group, Motley Crue in the mid 80s and then everyone was getting them.

That's what I think but I can't help but think he was old fashioned about certain things and wouldn't change his opinion...kinda confused about the topic..
It would be better if we had a direct quote from Elvis......someone help me out!!!! lol

I don't know what Elvis might have thought about tattoos but I think some of them are cool.Just as long as a person doesn't over do it.

Elvis was a man very religious. And in the Bible say what no make marks in the body for what this is the temple of God.

I think he would have liked the honour of having his image/symbol on someone's body

Here's a picture of it that I took my self when I got home yesterday. It's a very bad angle and since I was all twisted trying to take the picture it looks as if he's smirking or in pain, plus it's red. It looks really good in person. I'll take another one after it has healed up a bit.

The tattoo artist was so proud of it she was showing it off afterwards. It creeps my boss and my bff's mom out because they say it looks as if he's popping out of my shoulder.

I think elvis would have liked some of the tatts that are around especially the tasteful ones that are done... lets face it they have been around years so are nothing new... nice tattoo btw!

There is surely a difference between what Elvis would have thought of it during his lifetime and what he would think of it nowadays. Sure, tattoos have been around but they are infinitely more mainstream these days. In either case, I am sure he would feel honored.

a friend of mine just got a tattoo of Micheal Jackson and it wasn't a flattering picture of him. It came out looking like an alien. It's on the upper part of her left breast. ..I told her I didn't like it...lol
