According to Essentail Elvis (where this was published) it was taken in Memphis. Elvis is walking into a car showroom to buy about 14 cars. The strange thing is that he is wearing a jumpsuit. It was discussed in an edition about 8 months ago.

They also published a picture taken recently and the gates are still there.

This is a fascinating story anybody got any further info?

very nice piccy..since its a 76 piccy it must be sometime march ..taken in march..because this is the only time he used that outfit in 76 if im not mistaken....if that story is true.... its no big deal he was on his way for a tour..before the tour before heading for the airport.. outta the blue..he decided to step into a car showroom to buy some

then again taking another lookie at that piccy which isint very clear..looks seems like elvis is wearing a collar around his neck..elvis only used this in 75..must be a75 piccy:hmm..mabye my eyes are playing tricks on me

thats true, there is. Hmmm that makes it even hard to date the pic cuz this suit was worn alot in 75.

yeah the little extra weight thingy..elvis was starting to put on a little more weight during july of 75..he looked better in june of 75..anyways i think that piccy is from 75..i dont think its from 76

I believe its July 1975 look at the collar around his neck. For some reason during July '75 tours he wore those Indian collars around his neck.

If someone didn't say that that was Elvis, I would've thought it was an Elvis impersonator.

the weight thingy was no prob 4 elvis..he knew and acepted himself as he was..he gained slimmed down so many times ..from oct 74 to june 77 ..elvis weight was never stable from month to month it changed.. .if he wanted to he could of went back to his normal weight ..if he put his mind to it..but there were other more serious probs in his life during those times like the bookie some of his bodyguards were about to release -drugs -blah blah blah etc....and im off topic so im outta here..that piccy is def not from 76

did elvis ever say he was not botherd about his weight? i am sure it was at the back of his mind along with all the other issues going on in his life at the time!

..kidding..mabye it was a little..very little.. elvis could of came our on stage lookin like pavarotti and still brought the house down even just recited the phone book on stage..he would still sellout the place
