R.I.P.
If I Can DreamIf I Can DreamIf I can Dream
in Wisconsin the people are shocked. Some say it's going to be like Elvis' death, but frankly i feel worse for Farrah Fawcett
It was just like Elvis' death. The cause was prescribed medication. No doubt about it. They said he wasn't breathing when the fire department got there. That meant he was dead at arrival, just like Elvis they kept it from the media. TMZ announced him dead hours ago.
The cause of death has not been determined. An autopsy will be performed tomorrow to determine the cause.
And as far as it being as 'big' as Elvis's death announcement (and the accompanying grief by the fans), I 100% disagree with that statement because we all know the accusations that Michael had thrown at him and I'm pretty sure that we'll be hearing 'bout those allegations in the coming weeks after this is all over with.
The person I feel bad for is Elizabeth Taylor...she seems to outlive everyone else that she cares very deeply for....
They are saying right now it appears to be natural causes
Apparently Michael Jackson health had been failing the last 4-5 years or so it's being reported right now.
Self-proclaimed King of Pop, thank you.
As do I. Far more sadder a death.
Mark my words: in the next few hours/days, the conspiracy theories will spring up.
MJ faked his death. MJ was murdered. There's a cover-up. Ho hum.
A highly significant artist, to be sure, but a man well past his use-by date. Had he lived to be an old man, his career would never have taken off again. And can you imagine what he would have looked like had he lived to see old age?
Whatever, this will be the most significant and shocking musical death since you-know-who.
Roll on, the media coverage. I am always fascinated when celebrities die and how the world reacts. Stay tuned.
Getlo - cute'n'cuddly
ok the guy on the tv right now said "Michael was bigger than elvis" what do you guys respond to that
personally i don't think so, i'm not denying michael was huge but to say that he was bigger than elvis?
If Tears Could Build A Stairway, And Memories A Lane, I'd Walk Right Up To Heaven And Bring You Home Again -
im no big mj fan but, people will still remeber him 30+ years from now,he was a great artist,as for him being bigger then Elvis u know the media and people everyone is always bigger then Elvis Blah blah blah, but yet everyone always gets compared to Elvis,so what does that tell you, Elvis wil always be big! on a side note i was wathcing cnn earlier and the were talking to sum guy and he said "john lennnon and michael jackson started it all,sum people are just very very uninformed.
Play it James!
There is NO WAY he was bigger than Elvis. Micheal was an excellent singer when he was younger but he in no way reached a maturity level vocally like Elvis did in his later years. Micheal's voice just got groggily in his later live clips.
I also agree with GETLO about being a self proclaimed, KING OF POP,didn't he have Liz Taylor do it for him?
Let's just forget about whether or not one agreed with what that guy said. You took that quote out of all the other things been said today as if no one would get riled up about it.... well luckily it somewhat failed
Yes people will remember him, always, no matter how much some want otherwise. Umm honey he WAS/IS the King of Pop and will always be, I see just like another poster said, that some E fans are gonna need some thick skin, given that they never regarded Michael for anything, thinking he was a little too big for his deserving and that was before Lisa and both trials and accusations. It's starting to kinda look like the argument with old heads with Aretha and the new ones with Whitney and Mariah & Mary J when they first came on the scene or should I say with some 'round here, like Etta James and Beyonce. Acting real messy Ettaish![]()
i hope your not refering to me about sumthing, but i guessi should have been clearer with which part i was agreeing with which was"Micheal was an excellent singer when he was younger but he in no way reached a maturity level vocally like Elvis did in his later years." as for him being bigger then Elvis they were both great talents, that died way before they should have is a big loss for all music fans, but like i told a friend earlier man heaven is haveing one heck of a concert up there =D
Play it James!
It always seemed to me that MJ just took the Jailhouse Rock performance number from the movie and came up with a 2 hour concert production of it. In my opinion, Elvis was the KING OF POP in 1957, He took that commercial step in mixing his rebelliousness with main stream America. It hasn't changed much since the THRILLER video. I just believe that Micheal Jackson and Madonna both set the pop music trend we have today. No one has stepped up to the stage and changed it up yet but in my opinion, it all would not have been possible without Jailhouse Rock.
Actually I was referring to a few others including the one who brought up the quote and right before you, infact. No the other ones who want to think that he was just rubbish or something, no he may have not been the artist that Elvis was but he was not no rollover by ANY means.
I didn't like his music but it's sad that he's dead.
50 years of age isn' t the time to go...
he sure was no Elvis. In 30 years noone will even speak of him again
It's hard NOT to imagine Elvis as perfect; how else could someone be THAT good looking, THAT talented, THAT generous & THAT charismatic
