This is a mobile phone.... with it Elvis could join by the "mobile operator". She asked him first for his number (YJ79896) and then the number with he wanted to be connected.

You have got to love the fact that this was cutting edge technology back in the 1970's and that Elvis was right there.
It would be interesting to see if Elvis would have been at the forefront of technology had he still been around today e.g. mobile phones, laptops, blackberries, WIFI etc
