With all due respect Joe, watch the MSG interview and then watch this Aloha press conference interview. There is clearly a difference, and it's more than just being "sleepy". Yes, he does appear "sleepy", but it's an unnatural "sleepy", a drug-induced "sleepy".

I get "sleepy" every night, but I don't slur my words.

A few things come to mind here. First of all, he had just finished a grueling month, in which the last two nights he performed 5 shows as they stuck a 3:00 am show in on Sept 3, brutal! Second of all, apparently this was a hastily called press conference, meaning he probably took his sleep meds just prior, thinking he was going to bed, not aware that the Colonel had called a press conference. He sounded more tired then anything, at least to me.

There is no doubt he was under the influence here of some sort, that said his outfit looked cool, this picture here is awesome.

I don't know if Elvis is what you call stoned as like on heavy medication he might've been just really sleepy as the press conference was several hours before he usually got up so he wasn't alert and as responsive as he would've been had the press conference been scheduled later in the day.

sorry but take it from someone who used to use, he was stoned. Not stoned to the point of falling down but probably if used a little more and he would have been.
