I've never seen any photos nor heard who was there.
What happened when Elvis was finally buried at Graceland in October 1977. I mean who went to the second burial? Vernon? Delta? Cilla?
Any photos? If so, where to be found? (net, books, footage). I have seen the photos (a dozen) of the grave from October 1977. But does any photos excist of the actual ceremony at the Meditation Garden?
This has always been a mystery to me.
Please help.

Forever Best Friends
Interesting question, I have no clue.
I only know, from what Ive read, that it was done at night so there wouldnt be hoards of fans around. I dont imagine there were many people there, even family. I expect Vernon was.
I remember seeing footage of fans being interviewed outside the gate the night they (supposedly) bought Elvis back for this.
And I remember watching footage on YouTube of the hearses entering Graceland but I can't find it so whether I'm wrong or it has been removed.

It's hard NOT to imagine Elvis as perfect; how else could someone be THAT good looking, THAT talented, THAT generous & THAT charismatic
Oo, hope that footage can be found. It is said that Priscilla only returned to Graceland once the first year after Elvis died. So I'm thinking maybe it was for this, or to see Vernon. Here's the quote.
http://www.people.com/people/archive...071521,00.html
She has returned to Memphis only once since the funeral. "Elvis' death affected her deeply," says the friend. "But she's strong now—she's her own person."
I believe the moving of Elvis' body from the mausoleum to Graceland was done quietly, so they could avoid publicity to prevent anything from happening.

That makes sense.
I could only find the thumbnails. The video has been deleted by YouTube.

Mike,
You are correct. The moving of the bodies took place in the early evening hours of October 2, 1977.
And this was the first 'burial' for Elvis. If you're in a mausoleum, you aren't "buried". Buried means that you've been placed in the ground - and this didn't happen for Elvis until October 2, 1977.
