    Question Tahoe

what was the stagelike in Lake Tahoe? was it a huge arena like Vegas? or smaller stage - more personal. i've seen photos of Elvis on stage, but never one of the audience.
wonder too, if elvis would've liked performing in smaller clubs, just the stage with him and an intimate audience.

I don't know whether he thought of a more intimate audience, but I think it could have done him and his act some good. Whenever hearing kids scream at school (especially teenage girls) I'm immediately reminded of Elvis in concert.

I don't know about Lake Tahoe, I'm sorry. Never been there!

I've never been to Las Vegas but from pictures I've seen, the Tahoe stage was smaller and lower...yes I think more intimate.

I don't think so, not from I saw at Tahoe and pictures of L.V. I could be wrong though. Anyone else have an opinion?

I would have loved if Elvis did a tour that was focused on venues with more intimate stages, where he played blues or gospel only, sitting down like in the 68 special.

Initially the Hotels were overbooking (they didn't actually expect everyone who had booked to really turn up!) was simply to squeeze more in the room!

The High Sierra Room would comfortably hold 1,200 for a dinner show and 1,400 for a midnight show. For opening night their had been 1,700 for BOTH shows on 20.7.71! For the final show on 2.8.71 staff had squeezed 2,000 fans into the showroom - which is Dangerous!

I dream a world where man no other man
will scorn. Where LOVE will bless the earth
    and peace its paths adorn...
