    so, it's 1952, Elvis is still in high school, right, working at the theater no doubt? and it's suppose to be a real Vangogh, so Van Gogh is not that famous? so Elvis signs it, and now the question that begs to be asked is:
    do we pay $1 million for a van gogh, or $1 mil for Elvis' signature?

    Never heard of the story though. Where was Elvis supposed to find such a painting in '52? He didn't have too much money yet..? LOL

    i asked on another site and someone said that vanGogh wasn't the big draw in those days, i still don't see how Elvis could've gotten his hands on that. was memphis a big city like chicago or NYC ?

    I find this hard to believe.

    Elvis probably liked art, as much as anyone. But back in those early days, no way he would have bought it, and signed it.

    I don't like that paiting style... And I would really pay a big amount of money for an Elvis' signature.
