    History of the Polk Theater

    The History of Elvis at the Polk Theatre

    On August 6, 1956 Elvis performed at the Polk Theatre. While at the Polk Theatre Elvis signed his name to the third floor dressing room wall.

    Our beloved Elvis Signature was on the wall in the third floor dressing room until March of 2008 During a performance and heavy rains on the roof created a flood, damaging the walls and the signature was immediately rescued (wet but intact). The Polk Theatre is in the process of raising funds for restoration.
