I agree, Rosanne. I don't think he should've had the eye work done. it changed his appearance so much after he had it done - and, to me, not for the better, either.

Call me crazy but I don't think it's that bad. Granted I like it better before the eye lift. But it could be worse.
Elvis not need plastic surgery he was perfect.Only need lost weight eat healthy and sleep more and also leave them drugs for a treatment in a hospital. With all this Elvis comeback to be so handsome how ever. He was young yet.

I believe the surgery was for work under Elvis' eyes, to remove the bags.
I agree- his eye job was very detrimental to his overall appearance toward the end. It took a lot of the expression from his eyes which just made him look more exhausted.
'Taking Care of Beaulieu'.
I never notice his eyes. Now if he shaved his head! Yes!![]()

I also noticed in the pictures of Elvis at some concerts in the later years that he never wore mascara or eyeliner and that made his eyes look very different. His eyes almost look "naked", if that makes sense. Seems like he had given up in the end and never took the same pride and care in himself. His sideburns were often too long and unkept and he started wearing those jogging suits. Always amazes me how much he changed in a couple of years.
What are you all talking about? What has Elvis done with his eyes? Can someone please tell me what youīre talking about? I havenīt heard of that before. And I donīt know what should have changed about his eyes. I donīt see a difference between that picture and all other pictures. Even though Iīve seen thousands of Elvis pictures.
Yes, it's true. Dispite the efforts of Joe Esposito and others to talk Elvis out of having his eye done he had an eyelift mid June 1975 to make his eyes look younger. You can see the difference on the May/June photos and the July tour ones. I think in July he looked great, definitely younger in appearance.
But when he was heavily medicated plus not wearing mascara he really looked ill. But you can notice that when he was relaxed his eyes looked healthy and young. The Bloomington show on May 31 1976 is a perfect example. And the April tour of '76. When he was 'clean' he looked as good as ever.
