WHAT Do "YOU" THINK OF THE MEMPHIS MAFIA

WHAT DO I THINK OF THE MEMPHIS MAFIA?

    Think about this.....
    Elvis' Inventory, published November 1977.

Listed in an outside Large Storage Area,
that it contained over 50 LARGE WARDROBES.

The inventory also listed just over 100 Elvis
    garments only.

So thats just 2 bits of Elvis Garments to each Very Large Wardrobe.
Must have looked very strange - all that empty space ????

SO Almost - EVERY SINGLE PERSON IN GRACELAND, LIVING ON GRACELAND LAND,
WORKED IN GRACELAND, OR HAD ANY SORT OF ACCESS TO GRACELAND.....

Walked off with what ever they could carry.
from the 16th August 1977 to November 1977,
it was leaving in bags and cases, under arms, hidden
in Trash Cans, anyway possible Elvis' Garments
Left the Building, just after he did.

When Ginger Packed her bags in Elvis' Bedroom -
can we say she just took her own personal gifts from Elvis,
or did she go through Elvis' Jewellery also.

100s of Garments including Jumpsuits are in Private hands, and not at
Graceland anymore, along with Matching Belts, and
a vast amount of Elvis' Jewellery.

It wasn't given away by Elvis in his Life time,
It was all taken after he passed away.

Why didn't Vernon or Priscilla stop it, why didn't they sue to get it back.
How did Jimmy Velvet come to get so much of it,
including Lisa's Little Gold Laughing Face Ring.
Surely when she was given this, she must have thought the world of it..
and wouldn't she have liked to keep it as a memory of her Dad,
    not in some Independant Museum.

Velvet names some of the people that sold him Elvis Items,
and others can be traced from Auctions.

I would think a lot of it was the MEMPHIS MAFIA
    - they all got fired by Vernon, even Charlie was
kicked out of his Trailer. They had reasons to feel bitter,
but to just take so much stuff away goes down as
THE GREATEST ELVIS ROBBERY of all time.

It also deprives ELVIS FANS, from seeing many items in Graceland when we visit it.

I would never forgive the likes of RED, SONNY AND HEBLER for the WHAT BOOK,
    their timing was way out.-

If they had gone to Elvis Gatherings in the 1970s and 80s they would have found
a lot of Elvis fans really didn't respect them anymore.

So a lot of time has passed by, and lots of Elvis fans are to young
to remember the Hurt they caused............

I WILL NEVER FORGET THE PAIN THEY CAUSED ELVIS

EPS. --So Next Time You See a MEMPHIS MAFIA PERSON, ask them how all this is possible.. THEY HAVEN'T BEEN TALKING ABOUT IT MUCH... LETS STICK THEM IN A CORNER and FIND OUT THE TRUTH !!! ???

AND IF THEY SAY THEY DIDN'T DO IT ?

ASK THEM WHO THEY THINK DID?

ASK THEM WHY THEY DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING ABOUT IT.

They ripped off ELVIS, THE ESTATE, LISA, and deprived the fans of seeing
    these Items in GRACELAND.

IT'S TIME THESE PEOPLE "ANSWERED FOR THESE CRIMES"

Yeah, me too. I think it should be locked before it turns nasty...

Oh, and Rex? For what it's worth, the only ones who were fired during Elvis's lifetime were (at one point) Joe Esposito (but Elvis hired him back) and, of course, Red & Sonny West and Dave Hebler. Charlie Hodge was given the pink slip because his services were no longer needed after Elvis died - let's not make a mountain out of a molehill.

Personally, I now understand why Red, Sonny & Dave wrote "Elvis: What Happened?". Believe me, it's tame compared to the God-awful Goldman book - which, unfortunately, I have a copy of.

Here we go around the mountain once again....*sigh*

I left the Posse tied up in OFF TOPIC if you want to rescue them?

And a few notes for you all.......

Shush',,,,,,,,,,hhhh. most of the others haven't found out yet..

    SincerELy... Rex.

    Getting back to the topic.....

They really did hide Elvis' Stuff under black bags in the Dustbins
to smuggle it out of Gracelands, -I asked about in in the 1970s

And it was TIME someone talked about it........

    That is completely wrong.

As are the majority of your conclusions from this alleged list; a list given here, I might add, without a source.

Rex, I have respected your work and writings over the years, but this is well over the top and serves no purpose other than to stir the pot.

Not a big fan of them. I think very few were truly loyal to Elvis, but for the most part they were just no good.

I'M NOT STIRRING ELVIS FANS POTS

I'M talking about so Called Friends of Elvis pots.

So you think they should get away with it,

THAT STEALING IS OK and it should be just forgotten about
so as not to embarrass any of them, let them off the hook
bury it in a time capsule... send it to the moon.

If so YOU ARE NOT LIVING IN THE REAL WORLD....

So someone breaks in and steals everything in your Wardrobe
You would close the story, not want to talk about it, and wouldn't
report it to the Police, or anyone else.

Like your wardrobe is as important as Elvis' was. RIGHT ????

WHAT LIST DO YOU HAVE - THAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT ANYWAY??

I have a list, and its not complete. Several hundred Items is an
    Under estimate.

OK to help you do the math...

50+ Wardrobes, (Big ones) Have you seen the Inventory even ???

lets say they would hold 50 items in each....

Thats a lot of missing stuff. (the inventory even if you add in Elvis'
bedroom - and they don't list much in that room either.) have you
really thought about this. Because I don't think you have....

So go and think about it, think about how many Items Elvis could have HAD HOW MANY SHOES?
    HOW MANY SHIRTS??
    HOW MANY PANTS & TROUSERS???
    HOW MANY JACKETS????
    HOW MANY SLEEVELESS WAISTCOATS ?????
    HOW MANY COATS ??????
    HOW MANY JUMPSUITS
    HOW MANY BELTS
    HOW MANY SCARFS
    HOW MANY CAPES
    HOW MANY HATS
then you can add on all the UNDERWEAR, SLEEPWEAR, OUTWEAR.

Your saying he didn't have much of any of this type of GARMENT???
The near empty Wardrobes, had always been Empty.
Is that what you are saying??? can you prove that???
do you have some sort of Extra Inventory no-one has ever seen???

Also please list your Majority list. This seems a bit vague...
what sources are you quoting anyway??? that seems vague also....

Did someone hide all this stuff and then find it after November 1977??
show me the proof of that will you please???

Maybe according to you it walked out on its own, but you think
none of it went out with anyone Right?? no one that worked or lived
or had access TOOK ANYTHING. is that what you think???
When you get your Mind sorted out come back and say something
    sensible.

IF YOU ARE ABLE TO DO SO. ?????

"that is completely wrong" you said, so not 1% of what I'm saying is
true????? are you saying all 100% of what I'm saying in wrong??

That would be very funny, I think.

DON'T BOTHER ANSWERING THIS, I DONT NEED YOUR VIEWS.
AND IF YOU HAVE TO ANSWER IT
PLEASE LIST YOUR STATUS IN THE ELVIS WORLD, AS I HAVE NEVER
    HEARD OF YOU. ????????????????????

    HOW OLD ARE YOU ANYWAY???
HOW MANY ELVIS SHOWS DID YOU GET TO SEE???????????
WHERE YOU EVER A MEMBER OF MY ELVIS WEEKLYS??????????
HAVE YOU BEEN TO GRACELAND BEFORE ELVIS PASSED AWAY.????????
HOW MANY OF ELVIS' "FRIENDS" HAVE YOU MEET AND LIST WHAT YOU
    MIGHT OF ASKED THEM.?????????

DID YOU GET TAKEN BACKSTAGE TO SEE ELVIS????????
DID YOU GO TO COLONEL PARKERS OFFICES AT ANY TIME.???????

How many books have you written, would love to read one of them??

If you answer and don't answer everything I will be wanting to
    know why..

I do not think much of the Memphis Mafia! I have also wondered over the years how some people got their hands on so much of Elvis' personal things especially Jimmy Velvet. You raised some very good points Rex. Elvis means nothing only money to many of them now.

I completely agree, Getlo. A source for this information would be most appreciative....

And Rex? Ease up on the caps lock...we can 'hear' you just fine. Using capital letters is like 'shouting' at someone over the internet and it only amkes your posts that much more difficult to read.

The Memphis Mafia seemed to be a bunch of hill-billies....it's not so shocking that they would rip off Elvis that way....
