"How do I get placed in situations like this? Ah hell, I guess it's all part of showbusiness "~ Elvis in his limo on his way to perform in Omaha, NE on June 19th 1977
Probably what would I have been doing today if Elvis hadn't married me.

It's all very easy for us to say...
Priscilla of course took advantage of the name, I know all that. We discussed it all till we were bored to death.
Like said before, she also gave the fans the opportunity to see Graceland (and yes, most will say money grubbing and so on...) but if she would have left it closed they would have said, that woman!!! Closing Graceland, why???
The ones that met her, also recently can not say anything else then that she is a nice person, and very warm towards the Elvis.
And yes, to beat you all to it, maybe it's also a clever thing of her, I'm sure it is.
And I can not blame her for it.
So yes, I think she did think about it, she thinks about Elvis all the time, moneywise, or with love, probably both.
I think that Pris loved him as much as a person like her can love anyone, but I feel the same was toward Elvis I think he loved as much as he could but didn't want to change.......But who knows???
ps....Shes still money gurbbing...and cold as ice
Son if you ever say another derogatory word about Elvis Aaron Presley I WILL KICK THE LIVING CRAP OUT OF YOU!~
quote Sonny

end quote
Then you surely heard different stories then what I did from her.
Many friends of mine saw her too in real life and you know what. YES she does her act when needed. But catch her "one moment off guard "(not on duty so to speak) and she is a ROYAL ***** so to speak.
I heard stories of her that made me shook my head in disbelieve.
Stories from in the sixties till stories of today.
Pris is a cold person and nope doesn't like the fans at all. Money is her motive to keep smiling, to keep her telling all over the same story about her and Elvis, the version she wants us to believe , at least.![]()
It's hard NOT to imagine Elvis as perfect; how else could someone be THAT good looking, THAT talented, THAT generous & THAT charismatic
I like to think she reminds this special day...an important day for both of them.
I don't know if she thinks about this day in a romantic or nostalgic way...but sure I hope she stops every year for a moment to think about how she was and what she had
After all if she's still Priscilla PRESLEY she has to thanks Elvis and that marriage![]()

Franny met Priscilla in Toronto. Wanted to take pictures and her camera did not work.
So Priscilla said to her, no problem, fix it and come back so we can take the pics.
I'm sure franny will share the complete story. She can tell it better then I can.
Franny met the Pris on duty. Pris working for EPE... or Pris promoting one of her own business products. Franny did not meet the Priscilla candidly. Whole two different persons.
Same with cameras.
Two different persons.
Pris before the camera and beside the camera.
She always has been that way. Pris is a poser in many ways. Look at their homemovies, look at their pics together.
In front of the camera she plays the happy loving wife. Even till 1973. While in private the marriage was so bad even Elvis was catched saying alreaddy in 1969 he had a bad marriage.
In front of the camera she also was the dotting mother to her baby while in reality her "mothering skills "were poor to say it "nicely"....

On the other hand, anyone who knows Franny knows that she is very sweet and respectful and even Priscilla has to respond in a positive way to someone like that.
It could very well be that too many try to push her into talking about Elvis and are not so nice about it. I think I would tend to be a bit impatient with people who tried to pry into my personal life too much too.
I'm not a Priscilla fan and have been quite open about that but I feel that some are much too harsh about her and ditto for Elvis. None of us really know what they felt inside about a lot of things.
Diane
Very true Diane.
We can only speculate on what went on in those days.
So it's the fans fault Diane?? Ok, Elvis was never rude to his fans. And I'm sorry it goes with the territory. She gets paid millions to entertain the fans. And yes, she can be a real witch at times. (both publically and privately) There are stories from reliable people out there if one chooses to read.
I'm not saying that at times, the public is alway easy and there are always going to be the nutcases around. No one expects her to be perfect. But let me tell you the fans have always served a purpose to her. She is a business women first and foremost and Elvis has been on some level a commodity to her. Now in some ways that's not all bad because face it, fans have benefitted from that. So it's worked out well for both. But if anyone thinks this is all about her great love for Elvis, that's just silly. The women likes being the center of attention. She didn't always, but she ended up that way. But of course it has it's downside. She has purposely and intentionally made herself a celeb. Many of them get frustrated with the down side of it. And Priscilla is no different.
But the bottom line is that when it came to gratefullness, Elvis had more class in is little finger for the (biggest part of his life-barring some of the weird things he said towards the end) than she had in her whole body when it came to the fans.
In some cases yes I do think it is the fans fault Missy....not the majority, but a few, enough to try anyone's patience but I do agree Elvis could handle that kind of a situation with more class.
Diane
not fans fault. Just HER Personality

We all made our point...
so you say we can't speak our minds any longer??????
