I tried to watch, says no longer available.
I have always loved the studio version of "My Way" even though you don't hear it much. I hope you enjoy this one.

It works for me Tommy! So happy to see you putting some of your videos on here. They are all excellent and needs to be seen by Elvis fans. Great work Rosanne!![]()
Thank you I got to watch, excellent, beautiful![]()

Played the song twice when it came out.
And that's all.
Not one that grabbed me; it seemed to lack impact (comparisons with the live versions notwithstanding).
Good move not releasing it while Elvis was alive.
Getlo - cute'n'cuddly
It didn't work for me, Rosanne.I really want to see it...I love that song, it's also why I made a clip of it a few years back..

I have never heard the studio version of My Way and to tell you the truth,I like it much better then both concert versions. Thanks for the fabulous video,Rosanne.
The One and Only King of Rock'n'Roll.
his live versions particularly in 77, are much better
I prefer the "Aloha" (January 14, 1973) version of "My Way". Musically, technically, nothing tops that version although I think that by '77 he truly sang it with more emotion and believed every single word - and that's the only thing that makes the '77 versions slightly better.
Great video!!
Forever Best Friends
I enjoyed it very much, thank you Rosoanne.

The studio version of MY WAY is a waste of tape. Elvis sounded horrible and he knew it. When ELVIS NOW was compiled in late 1971 it was preferred to use HEY JUDE -which was also not too good- instead of MY WAY. Elvis just knew that he recorded a piece of crap and he knew he could do it better. He did!
Enjoyed that Roseanne...many thanks to you. I quite like the studio version, never really understood why some people don`t like it all that much....still, each to his/her own I guess!![]()
In all fairness SP, we ALL think there is alot of emotion in the 1977 version because we know he sang it 6 weeks before his death. I've often wondered, if he had lived on if the '77 version would be considered such a "classic", OR if it's one we would be critical of instead?
CBS played into that with the editing they did on this song. The camera angle of him looking into the camera with the lines "I've loved, I've laughed and cried" pulls at the heartstrings...IMO
I've always liked the Aloha version,I can't watch or listen to the 1977 Elvis In Concert version of My Way but after hearing the studio version,I prefer it over the Aloha version now.Rosanne, you are right to each their own,I guess.
