I usually try to ignore these kind of overblown stories and stuff....but my curiosity got the better of me and I had a peek..... Something about it just looked staged to me...I think Mr. Phoenix was just having a bit of fun with the public here.

I think that's the most likely Jack and I hope so as I really like him as an actor and would hate it if he threw his life away.

I have watched this several times over the last few days...it seems like Letterman starts to lose patience when Joaquin sticks his gum under his desk.
I hope it's an act, but I'm not so sure. I hope he doesn't try to un-stick the tractor on Thanksgiving Day as he did in "Walk The Line."
Don't forget....he's already had one stint in rehab.

Joaquin's brother in law, Casey Afleck, has been following him around with a camera filming his "rap" performances. It's all for some sort of mockumentary about Phoenix's transition from an actor to rapper. There are some vague details on IMDB. So this could all be some sort of elaborate Kaufman-esque hoax.

It could be KPM. It's just that if he wants to be a "rapper" lol the way he looks now is more like ZZ TOP top, no offence to them...

He retired from acting in Oct. 2008, so time will tell what he does with his music, but he does have a movie coming out with Gwyneth Paltrow, if it isn't out already...
