Two Different Thunderbird Suits???

Just found these on the net

Note the head of the bird - one white the other red.

if its not a completely different suit, then at least the one on display with the red head has been touched up. Maybe beads fell off, so they re-sewed back on red?

Do you have a picture from 1972 for comparison? I'm not sure if they're different suits or just retouched.

Both the 1972/73 photos show a white head. I posted 2 shots. The first is from 1972 - white head. The second is from 1973 - also white

If the red stones were added later, there are further additions. The red head version has a 'crown' on the head and 'glands' on the front of the neck (like a turkey). You can notice these if you compare the white head and red head versions.

Maybe Leroy could clear this up.

According to EPE the suits was damaged and some of the nails were missing so they repeared it. There is no second version of this suit. Since the bird on the suit is not an eagle but a condor they probably thought some adjustments were needed....
