no, i never done that before mark...sounds like a hard thing to do for me
let me know when you're done with both shows project![]()
Hello All -
I have just finished overlaying the audio from the CD Elvis In Concert over the CBS special, so now all the music is in true stereo and straight from CD. Of course I had use the orginal talking from the video and then cut back to the CD audio. Really sounds good. The only track I really wasnt able to edit is was Cant help Falling In Love - with the Vernon Interview and all it was impossible to get the cd audio on.
Has anyone done this before - overlaying the CD audio over the video to the CBS special??
My next project is to do the Omaha and Rapid City shows with new audio - has anyone done this as well yet??
thanks and let me know
Mark
Here's a sample: (rightclick on the link and select 'save target as') link

Sorry I couldn't help with that, Mark. What a great project!
Question: did you by chance use the Japanese 24-bit CD?

Lonnie is right, .......... the Japanese CD is hands down the best audio quality of EIC ever released .......... if you can dub this audio to a good quality version of the VHS, ............. and enjoy the end result on an excellent TV / Audio system .............. it is quite an awesome experience with some songs ...............
That said, I'm not an audiophile ...................... just love EIC.

SOUNDS VERY COOL MARK, BUT VERY COMPLICATED!!!![]()
ELVIS IN CONCERT is one of my favorites too, and I would love to hear a sample of your work, if you decide to post one.![]()
And I have to agree with Bobby and The Captain....if you can get the 24-bit Japanese remastered EIC CD, you owe it to yourself to do so!!! I picked one up (thanks to Bobby) and it was one of the best investments that I have ever made (next to the 24-bit Japanese remastered TODAY CD!)

I'm thinking the Today CD was 20-bit...At any rate, the Japanese EIC to my ears was the better improved one of the two--but both are fantastic.
I don't have it, but from what people have said and an audio sample I heard online somewhere, Raised On Rock is one of, if not the best of the bunch.
Gotta love the mini-gatefold LP "paper-sleeve" packaging of EIC (and some of the others).
You're welcome, Mike. BTW, which other ones did you end up getting?
Glad you agree, Captain.

20-BIT, 24-BIT.....whatever it takes!!![]()
You might be right buddy....if it is 20-bit, I apologize for my error!![]()
The paper gatefold sleeves are indeed a nice touch!!! I've been watching for a copy of RAISED ON ROCK to come up for sale, as I would be VERY interested to hear the improvement on that one!!!![]()
I did see that the remastered BACK IN MEMPHIS was available recently...I wonder how much better that one is??![]()

P.S. So far, I only have TODAY and EIC in the remastered format.![]()

I have already overlaid the whole show - but dont mind trying to find the 24 bit CD - where is the best place to look besides ebay -
I just posted a sample to the newsgroup
alt.binaries.multimedia.elvis.presley
for anyone who has access to newsgroups - The forum will not let me post up a mpeg or wmv file - oh well
thanks
Mark
Mark,
I got mine on half.com. casacaiman was the seller.
Shoot...there are none on there right now, nor on eBay.
Ah, here you go: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS...507405-5952864
Note that the one for $14.95 is vinyl, and if you're interested in the one for $26.99, I'd make certain it's the Japanese remastered version. It probably is, but you can't tell, just from looking at that listing. The new one at $40.99 is definitely the one we're talking about here. I think I paid around $30 for mine new, maybe a year ago.
Sorry about not being able to post the video here. Per my PM, I'll run it by Albert to see if there isn't a way to do it.

Music Service Elst is also selling the Japanese 20 (or 24) bit releases. For a very reasonable price also.Originally Posted by ultimix
