Which Jumpsuits you dislike?

so you hate this jumpsuit...surprising but i guess we alll have different tastes....this question has been asked menay times in this forum......4 me its the dreaded V neck always will be...the ultimate ugliest jumper ever....i always wonder what happened on that faithful daywhen elvis put this on looked in the mirror and said this suits a winner i like it i will use it onstage...it will forever remain one of the biggest mysteries in elvis lifewhy did elvis put that pyjama thingy on in late 75

i also hate this clunker of a jumper....the red ladder jumpsuit ....beautiful elvis ugly suit ; looks really cheap

There are a few Jumpsuits that I don't like:-

The Mexican Sundial..
The Egyptian Birds..

I have come to realise that there aren't many I dislike. I like the elaborate, I like the simple. What makes the difference is the period Elvis is in. For instance I love the Chief Jumpsuit (see attached) when you see Elvis wearing it in 1975 it looks amazing, however when you see Elvis wearing this suit in Feb 1977 it casts a different light. The same goes for the Mexican Sundial, unfortunately Elvis was in poor health for the most part when he wore this suit in 1977 and consequently this Jumpsuit is associated with Elvis being in poor shape. I suppose this would indicate that Elvis made the Jumpsuit look good not always did the Jumpsuit make Elvis look good, something that by late 1975-1977 was apparent.

For want of a better word IMO there is a stigma attached to certain suits because of how Elvis looked rather than how the Jumpsuit looked. There are a couple of reasons for that. 1) Elvis had gotten to old to carry off the Jumpsuit by the age of 42. 2) The weight issue was accentuated by a stage outfit that did little to flatter the larger gentleman. When some of these suits are viewed at close quarters some of the detail is simply breathtaking.

I suppose the jumpsuit at it's peak for me is 1972-73 representing all that's good, 1974-75 a little ostentatious. Most of us would agree that by Late 1975 until 1977 it would have been better to have seen the retirement of the Jumpsuit.

Usually, the question is which jumpsuit is your favorite!!! I haven't really given much thought to which jumpsuits are my least favorite...

I guess one of my least favorite jumpsuits would have to be the brown one that Elvis wore on stage in Las Vegas in August '74. I've just always thought that one looked a bit odd on him...

The white jumpsuit from 1970 with the macrame scarf around his neck is another of my least favorite suits....it just looks so out of place compared to most of his other jumpsuits....not to mention that the macrame scarf makes it look like he has a noose around his neck...

The PENGUIN suit is another one that looked hideous on Elvis, in my opinion...

I guess those would probably be my 3 least favorite jumpsuits. Interesting question though...certainly made me think!!!

yeah...can u imagine if elvis had decided to use this penguinny of asuit for his cbs 77 special..at least the sundial is beautifulwell lookon the bright side...not many saw the penguin shown only in vegas to about 2,000 fans...then it was retired form the stage forever

I don't like much the bear suit... but definitely pick the "unworn suit". This last one is aweful. Good it never was worn, not even Liberace would dare to wear it.

ur brilliant wendyi tottaly forgot about that clunker of a jumpsuit..weather the belt for that new suit was unfinished or completed..its a loser of an outfit...but you know as ugly as that new suit was....... i wish he would of worn it...means elvis would of been alive aug 17th the aug 77 tour would of taken place and prob still with us today

And yep, Sundial it's a beautiful suit! Despite the meaning of the Aztec calendar, the Sundial suit represenst on Elvis the shine and power of the sun... IMO. Elvis had such a brilliant talent. :]

i do not like the green bullfrog suit with the christmas ornaments...
other than that i like them all

a few were worn too often ...ok bit i still like them...
