Suspect Who Left ID Behind Arrested, Jailed

A robbery suspect who was identified after he dropped his wallet and ID during a purse snatching Friday was arrested driving a stolen truck, the Polk County Sheriff's Office said Sunday.

Randy Sealey was charged with auto theft, robbery by sudden snatching, and driving with a suspended license. He was booked into the Polk County Jail.
A woman was the victim of a purse snatching in the parking lot of the Sweetbay Supermarket on U.S. 98 North in Lakeland about 7:45 a.m. Friday.
The man ran but lost his wallet and deputies identified Sealey as a suspect when they found his driver's licence in the wallet, according to the Sheriff's Office said.
Sealey's image was also captured on store video surveillance, officials said.
On Saturday afternoon, deputies stopped a stolen 2001 Dodge Dakota that Sealey was driving on U.S. 98 North, officials said. The truck had been reported stolen in Lakeland on Friday.
