I got that recording yesterday and thatīs sad that I have to say that... Iīm dissapointed...I was really looking forward for first official release of one of best Elvis concerts EVER, and I dont know who made a sound for Nevada Nights, but he completely destroyed it!
I know, thatīs "only" a soundboard recording, not multitrack, but... I have a mp3 version of old bootleg with this concert If You Talk In Your Sleep (it was impossible to get it on CD for me...) and in fact, Nevada Nights seems to be a bad copy of this bootleg! It sounds like that whole concert is happening under cover... That sound doesnīt seems "real"... I dont know how to describe that. And far bigger problem - they killed the DYNAMIC of that show - that power of Never Been To Spain, Proud Mary... Itīs completely GONE! Just play that beginning of that great version of Down In The Alley... on that bootleg itīs beautiful and clear... on official release it just sounds like that all microphones were "under the carpet"... I really dont know how to describe that, but Iīm sad with it... It is just missed AMAZING chance!

Sweet child in time
you?ll see the line
line that?s drawn between
good and bad
see the blind man
shooting at the world
bullets flying taking toll
If you?ve been a bad
oh Lord I bet you have
and you?ve not been hit
by flying led
you?d better close your eyes
you?d better bow your head and
wait for the ricochet
- Lyrics of most beautiful song in rock music ever!!!
"I am now a central part
Of your mindīs landscape
Wheter you care or do not
Yeah, Iīve made up your mind"
You can't beat the FTD version of NEVADA NIGHTS this release is pure GOLD![]()
I love Nevada Nights, but then I've never heard any different versions for sound comparison.
