As a life-long collector, I understand the feeling of seeing another 12-30-76 Atlanta dvd, as it has been presented in hundreds of different formats over the last 30 years. However, I can say with no hesitation that this is the finest dvd of this performance ever assembled, and should be owned by every fan of 70's Elvis. To start, the footage is derived from the original video transfer. Secondly, for the very first time ever available to the public, Elvis' face can be seen, as well as his jumpsuit! (All previous releases only showed a solid white glow and was very hard on the eyes.) There is even color to Elvis' face and skin! The audio that makes up the portions seen on the video is now derived from the original film reels, and has been remastered expertly so that Elvis' voice is clearly heard. But thats still not all. Late last year, the original filmer of this concert finally released the missing audio on cd-r. While this audio is not the best quality, it does give us the rest of the entire performance including Unchained Melody, minus some of the band solos. Add all of this, plus well over 120 beautiful photographs from that evening and we finally have The ULTIMATE release of this concert. The audio cd of the now-near complete show is included as well. A True must have!
