    "Elvis":The TV Series

    I was just wondering if the tv series "Elvis" was ever put out on dvd or not? That was the series with Michael St.Gerard and Millie Perkins.

    I don't know...sure not here in Italy
    If I'm not wrong it was just a tv serie but I think M.S.G. is the actor that most has resemblance with Elvis
    I'd be curious to see the serie on dvd

    That ^^^ is an 'unofficial" (bootlegged) copy direct from television.

    The 1990 "Elvis - The Early Years" television series has never been put out officially on DVD. - and that's a crying shame, IMHO.

    Michael St. Gerard (to me) is the closest we'll ever get to anyone portraying the young Elvis - at least looks-wise. When I first saw this show, I was shocked at how much MSG resembled Elvis.

    Here's another site. When you see the list, it clearly states this is a DVDR. I'm told it's fairly good quality, however, I haven't bought a copy. But I am seriously considering it.

    Re: "Elvis":The TV Series

    I agree completely that Michael St. Gerard was FANTASTIC portraying young Elvis in the TV series, and it is such a shame that this series didn't last longer. And the resemblence between St. Gerard and Elvis is just uncanny!!!

    As for the show appearing on DVD in an official release, one website that I visit frequently is TVshowsondvd.com and when I checked to see if they had any information on the series being released on DVD, there was nothing listed.

    HOPEFULLY that will change sometime soon...

    I was looking for that TV serie (DVDR) long ago on Ebay but never got to buy it. I also think Michael St. Gerard has been the best choice untill now to portray Elvis and the one who looked more like him.

    It was a great show, it's too bad it didn't last too long.
    I thought it was quite interesting, Michael was the closest
    looking one to the King, next is Kurt Russell. I wished the
    series lasted longer

    Yep, he became a pastor around 1994. I found this:

    "St. Gerard had a spiritual awakening after leading a Sunday School class, and, with it, decided to retire and focus his energies on religious instruction. He became a pastor in the Harlem area of New York City, extending himself and his church in particular to inner-city youths, and spends little time reflecting on his past stardom".
