A lingering question

I know Graceland is "all things Elvis" But, my question is..just like Elvis' wardrobe..why doesn't Graceland "big wigs" add a display for Gladys, Vernon and Lisa?

David, I'm afraid you are looking at Graceland with idealistic eyes too much. The problem is that Graceland isn't "all Elvis" but "all EPE". Haven't you notice they have a little or no knowledge about their prime subject?? How much do you thing they know about Elvis parents? And Lisa is still alive........

Totally agree, and Lisa is STILL alive.....is a sad reality, They Have no idea about Elvis and his life. What will happen when itsn't his daughter?

I WOULD LOVE TO SEE A DISPLAY LIKE THIS!! I THINK LISA WOULD LOVE TO SEE HER GRANDPARENTS HONOURED IN THIS WAY. THEY ARE A VERY INTERIGAL PART OF THE ELVIS PRESELY STORY. THERE NEEDS TO BE MORE EMPHASIS PLACED ON THIS!!

THERE ARE PLENTY OF EXHIBITS ON THE "ELVIS & PRISCILLA" YEARS. I THINK IT WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE A NEW EXHIBIT WITH EMPHASIS ON ELVIS' PARENTS AND LISA. THEY ARE ELVIS' IMMEDIATE FAMILY AND I THINK THE FANS WOULD FLOCK TO SEE IT!!

If I remember right, they do have some of Gladys' dresses hanging in a closet. There are pictures in the TCB gallery of this. I don't remember if some of Vernon's clothes were included.

But I agree, I would like to see more of Gladys and Vernon represented at Graceland. Are any of the things Gladys picked out for her new home still there for instance?

Perhaps we should all write them and let our feelings be known. It may or may not sway them but at least someone there would know how the fans fell about Elvis' family.

If a fan comes in Graceland, I think we expect to see "the man" , not the artist. that was his home. In Graceland, certainly, Gladys dresses are hunging in a closet in the Elvis parents bedroom
