HI Danielle
My best guess is that it`s the November 1973 home recording at Sam Thomsons house and that it`s Linda Thomson among others that you hear in the background. The recording is also avaible on the FTD cd "Made in Memphis"

Hiyaa !
I was listening to 'Baby what do you want me to do' on Elvis By The Presleys Disc 2, and there is a girl in the background talking and she sings 'Oh Yeah' and she is laughing too.
Anybody know who this is and what date he recorded this version and where he was when he was singing it ???
Thanks for your help

YW Danielle, I don`t own the Elvis by the Presleys cd set, but I just checked out the informations on Elvisnews and I was right....
On the "Made in Memphis" cd, you can hear more recordings from that day...and they are fun to listen to, you can really hear them having a good time![]()
The songs are:
Baby what you want me to do
I`m so lonesome I could cry
Spanish eyes
See see rider
That`s all right
Ode to a robin(Poem)It`s not listed on the tracklist, but it`s there)
I think it's Charlie Hodge...lol
Too bad we never got a chance to hear the original tape source form Sam Thompson's cassette that got burned away in a house fire years ago.
I'm sure the sonic quality would have been much better than what we've had, (bootlegs), and now Sony/BMG recordings.
King creole, I`m not quite sure that the original tape would have been better, as I understand it, David Briggs got the original tape transfered to a BETTER source, before it burned....thank god

Elvisia, thanks for looking..very kind of you !![]()

I was listening to the CD today...and while listening to "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry", I heard a female voice. I wonder if that was Linda or someone else?
Anyone?![]()
Oh yeah Marija, there are a mixture of voices. I think it's Linda because it sounds like her..And at the begining it sounds like they are on a pool table..
...
Thanks everyone
I was wondering myself whose voice was in the background too![]()
Linda and Elvis also that night sang a song together called "School Songs"
which was kind of cute.
KPM, where did you hear that?....I mean what source....would love to hear it too
Elvisia
Heard it at Jordans Elvis World. In his library section its on the import album "Elvis in a Private Moment"
Thanks KPM, I own that cd already....might as well listen to it again...thanks again
Elvisia
