Lisa Marie herself has stated in an interview that they all were doing just as bad stuff as he was but won't admit to their faults. They got the nerve to criticize him for doing exactly what they did too.![]()
We know that the Stanley brothers were on street drugs. Were the MM also known to be taking them as well as Elvis' prescriptions?

I don't know what all they did. Most have admitted to their drug use. None of them that I know of thinks they were any better than Elvis. Just because they tell you what he did, doesn't mean they thought they were any better.
Linda says she left because she didn't want to live that kind of life. (and tell what went on) But she also doen't act high and mighty because she left.
I was just reading something from jerry's book about your question diane
We have been using prescibed and uppers and downwers to keep with elvis lifestyle so yes diane they were all on them too.
Lets put it this way, some were on heavier stuff than others were. Sonny Was one of them. that's why i said in my post about who I've met that he's changed alot since getting saved.
Now that is what I wanted to know...any other of the MM members take street drugs as well?
I know this comment is going to cause all kinds of havoc but all the people I've known who claimed to be "saved" were ones who did as they pleased all their lives, hurting people along the way then suddenly they are "saved" and all is forgiven....sorry but "my foot!".

Ugh!
Now ask yourself how a child would know that!
And they have all admitted to taking the stuff.
Oh, and the thread question was about whether there was anything in addition to street drugs.
Exact source please. And, if it was Sonny, what were his precise words?

I guess, and it's only a guess (Maybe an educated guess :-)) When in Rome the MM did what the Emperor did, when they were allowed to )
Commonsense dictates they shared a joint or two, or ten.
I didn't drink very much till I was in the company of some guys from Belfast for a few months. My consumption soared till I could drink almost as much as they did.
I caught on in time!
I don't think people took minutes of the gatherings in Graceland.

I didn't start this thread to bash the MM. I simply was curious as to whether any of them were into street drugs as well as the prescriptions like the Stanley brothers were. So far, Sonny seems to be the only one which I find unlikely.

I think Elvis' biggest mistake is that he hired too many to be around him causing them to be so competitive with one another, and yes, I wish he had gathered some who were more mature.

Which would have been even worse, coz guess what?
Elvis wasn't exactly a "mature" kind of guy, now was he?
Had he hired guys who were "mature", he would have been bored out of his skull a lot earlier than he was and his addictions would have taken hold earlier than they did, and we'd have lost him earlier than we did.
And how can a 21 year old kid, on the cusp of fame, even know what maturity is? I mean, really.
No, he hired the guys he grew up with (it's something called loyalty) and others he just plain liked for their personalities.
Somewhat immature.
Just like him.

I can't argue with that Getlo but mature guys know how to how fun too but are more responsible in what they do.

Pills, yes, but street drugs were a rarity. Certainly the Stanley Brothers used a few things. But the MM steered clear from the stuff.
And some of the MM sparked up the occasional doobie, which is no big deal. Elvis did not partake of this, not in the 70s anyway. His dalliance with the "demon" weed occurred in the 60s: it was brief and, for him, not altogether satisfying.
